Until your kitten reaches the right weight, we recommend using Purr-Pod™ in semi-automatic mode to keep them safe while minimizing the need to scoop.

For "semi-automatic" mode, ensure Purr-Pod is powered off or unplugged. Once you see your kitten has used it, wait about 7 minutes for the waste to clump, then power it on. Purr-Pod will automatically start a cleaning cycle. Afterward, turn it off again. Continue using this supervised, semi-automatic mode until your kittens are heavy enough to activate the PurrScale®.

No, Purr-Pod™ doesn’t require special litter. It works with most clumping or scoopable litters. However, translucent or white-colored litters, like crystal litter, can affect the litter level accuracy.

Purr-Pod™ is not compatible with purely absorbent, non-clumping, loose-clumping, newspaper-based, or wood-based pellet litters.
