I think this is the best invention. My cats used it on the first day I set it up!!! There is no smell, no more litter on the floor, no more dipping down into litter tray to clean it. Can't recommend this enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Purr-Pod the highest-rated self-cleaning litter box in the Australia? +

We dedicate resources to engineering and assembly to guarantee top-quality products for pet owners around Australia! With thousands of happy fur-parents, Purr-Pod is adored by both cats and their owners. Cat parents appreciate how Purr-Pod eliminates litter box odours in their homes, reduces litter consumption with its efficient cleaning cycle, and frees them from the chore of scooping.

Will my cat be scared of the Purr-Pod? +

We estimate that over 96% of cat households successfully adapt to Purr-Pod. While it’s normal for some cats to be initially cautious or wary of new items in their space, many begin using Purr-Pod within a few days to a week of installation. Purr-Pod is specifically designed to be as cat-friendly as possible, featuring SilentSeal® technology to minimise noise during the cleaning cycle. The cleaning cycle only starts a few minutes after your cat has left the automatic Purr-Pod, and you can set the delay for up to 30 minutes to accommodate more skittish cats. With some patience and encouragement, most cats will quickly adjust to Purr-Pod. Rest assured, at the end of your 90-day trial, your cat has no adapted, you will receive a full refund.

How can I ease my cat into using the Purr-Pod? +

Getting your cat used to the Purr-Pod is simple. Start by gradually introducing your cat to the Purr-Pod to make the transition smooth. To prevent startling your cat, keep the Purr-Pod turned off until your cat has used it. Place the Purr-Pod in the same spot as the old litter box, and keep the old box nearby for a while. Add a cup of litter from the old box to the clean litter in the Purr-Pod; the familiar scent will attract your cat. Find out more about helping your cat get comfortable with the Purr-Pod.

Is the Purr-Pod safe? +

Yes, Purr-Pod was created with your cat's safety as a top priority. If your cat attempts to enter the globe while it is rotating, Purr-Pod will stop instantly. Purr-Pod includes advanced safety technology known as the SafeCat System with 360 IntelliSense® Detection, utilising lasers to continuously monitor four safety zones, along with weight sensors and anti-pinch software for superior cat detection.

How does Purr-Pod eliminate litter box odour? +

Purr-Pod includes an OdourBlock® System crafted to neutralise odours from the litter box. This system operates with a sealed waste drawer and a carbon filter to diminish odours. Users frequently report that Purr-Pod effectively eliminates odours associated with the litter box.

Is Purr-Pod kitten safe? +

Absolutely, Purr-Pod utilises laser and weight sensor technology to detect when your cat enters and exits the globe, initiating the countdown timer and cleaning cycle.

The PurrScale® doesn’t recognise kittens weighing less than 1.3 kgs. Kittens under 1.3 kgs can use Purr-Pod, but not in automatic mode. Until they reach the appropriate weight, we advise using Purr-Pod in "semi-automatic" mode to keep your kitten safe and to avoid the hassle of scooping the litter box.

For "semi-automatic" mode, ensure Purr-Pod is powered off or unplugged. Once you see your kitten has used it, wait about 7 minutes for the waste to clump, then power it on. Purr-Pod will automatically start a cleaning cycle. Afterward, turn it off again. Continue using this supervised, semi-automatic mode until your kittens are heavy enough to activate the PurrScale®.

Does Purr-Pod require a special litter? +

No, Purr-Pod doesn’t need special litter. It is compatible with most clumping or scoop-able litters. However, translucent or white-coloured litters, typically found in crystal litter, can affect the litter level accuracy in Purr-Pod. Purr-Pod is not suitable for litters that are purely absorbent, non-clumping, loose-clumping, newspaper-based, or wood-based pellets.

What is the PawProtection™ 3-Year Warranty? +

PawProtection™ is a complete protection plan that covers your Purr-Pod from top to bottom for one year. Our hassle-free coverage includes accidental damage, power surges, mechanical and electrical failures, and software support. You’ll have access to our customer experience specialists, software experts, and AUS-based service and repair team.
